We are more than ready to see Firehouse 51 back in action. How long do we need to wait for Chicago Fire season 12 to premiere on NBC?
Chicago Fire left us with one big question at the end of season 11. Will Mouch survive? Things looked great at first, and then he went pale while Herrmann was talking to him in the hospital. Mouch was bleeding out, and it was clear that it would take all hands on deck to save him.
We can’t lose Mouch! We’ve already lost so many people from the firehouse though them leaving or dying. The deaths are the hardest as we grieve with the characters. So, we want answers right now about how things will play out. This is where we have some bad news. Chicago Fire season 12 isn’t happening just yet.
When will Chicago Fire season 12 premiere on NBC?
To be honest, we weren’t expecting the premiere just yet. We’re into the summer months and that means hiatus. This happens every year to allow the cast and crew to have a break before filming the next season in the summer.
This break is going to be longer than normal, though. The writers strike is on, and that’s halting production. There are no scripts available to film until the writers get back to work. No rush on that, though. We’ve prefer the writers go back once they’ve landed a fair deal.
What does that mean for a premiere, though? We just don’t know. NBC wants a normal fall, but NBC will probably not get that. ABC is holding all scripted content until 2024 and FOX hasn’t even told us its plans for the fall, but scripted content is presumably held. NBC may need to follow suit at this point.
