It's one of the biggest events in the calendar year with several famous faces attending.
But one person who was gutted to miss out on this year's Glastonbury festival was actor Tony Gardner.
The star of hit BBC series Death In Paradise, revealed to fans that he has only ever missed it once before. And despite not going, his children – who did attend the festival – made sure he was part of it.
Tony, 57, posted a picture of his children at Worthy Farm holding a flag with different images of him all over it.The pictures were of his various states from his Glastonbury experiences over the years, with the words 'Forgotten but not gone' emblazoned across the flag.
Glasto every year, but not this year, and have been moaning about all the flags in recent years that have pictures of the dearly departed 'RIP Gordon' etc, etc x'
In another image of the flag in more detail Tony captioned it: 'I'm not a fan of the flags at @glastofest. In recent years a trend has developed of flags with photos of deceased family or friends - RIP Gary, etc - so not only can you not see the stage, but you're looking at dead people. Bit of a vibe killer.
'In my absence this year to appear in @anarchistwestend my family had this flag made which only arrived today so won't get rolled out at the festival. Probably a good thing.'
Fans were quick to react to the hilarious photo with one writing: 'I proper laughed at this.'
Another said: 'Touching tribute' whilst a third penned 'Kids. All heart.'
Tony is currently reprising his role as Superintendent Curry in the theatre production of Accidental Death of an Anarchist, which is why he had to miss out on the festival.
Describing his character, Tony said he's 'pompous, emotionally labile, and a bit stupid. A perfect combination for any comedy actor'.
