When a singer releases a new album, the next step is usually going on tour to support the new music. This year has already featured huge tours by major stars (hello, Taylor Swift and Shania Twain!), but, sadly for Kelly Clarkson fans, that is not the case for the 41-year-old superstar.Kelly's album, Chemistry, is out on June 23, and she's been sharing new songs with her fans on social media. This week, she took to Instagram Live to debut her latest song, "I Hate Love," a banger that features the banjo playing of Steve Martin. But The Voice coach also took the opportunity to address a question from fans: Will she be going on tour this year?
The singer explained that she does not have anything planned other than her 10-date Las Vegas Residency. In a heartfelt makeup-free video, she got real with fans and explained the reasons why: her kids and her day job, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which recently relocated to New York.
Kelly said, "I don't know if y'all have noticed, but I have like a nine-to-fiver. I have a job that's a lot of work and takes time. And I also have kids. They're in school, and I get really tied down to those things. We are trying to figure out what the possibilities are in certain parts of our calendar...But it's really these 10 shows in Vegas."
