Bravo's Below Deck Sailing Yacht is usually beloved by fans, but this season has been called boring online more than once. The series has sailed into its fourth season, with most of the same cast returning for another charter season. Captain Glenn Shephard is trying his best to hold steady, but more drama needs to happen if another season is expected to return.
Bravo's original Below Deck premiered in 2013 and rode the wave of popularity for multiple seasons with cameras following the crew members who worked and lived on luxury yachts. The premise also showcased the lifestyles of the rich and famous charter guests who vacation on them. Below Deck Sailing Yacht first premiered in 2020. Captain Glenn's laid-back personality won over viewers who were used to seeing strict captains previously. However, the calm demeanor of the Parsifal III isn't winning anyone over this season.
There's Been No Wild Drama So Far
To say that Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 has been boring may be an understatement, as nothing crazy has happened this season except for a few engine issues. A recent episode showed what was portrayed as a boat fire, but it turned out to be fixable by Colin MacRae. Fans have taken to Reddit via Icecreamdream10, who noted this season has been a "snooze fest."
Now that Daisy Kelliher and Colin's kiss has finally happened, some fans feel that watching Gary King meltdown over it could be "poetic justice." Daisy is mixing business with pleasure as the three best friends couldn't help but find themselves intertwined. Last season, Daisy hooked up with Gary, but now it looks to be Colin's turn. Daisy has already confirmed to Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans that a love triangle existed between her and her two best male friends, but viewers are still waiting for Gary to find out.
The drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht will hopefully be worth the wait, as the season is already eight episodes in with little to no payoff. So far, the plot lines have been the same as previous seasons: Gary hunts and finds the stews to hook up with while alienating his deckhands, Daisy has a total metal down due to anxiety, and Captain Glenn tries to get a good night's rest but is instead disturbed by a drunk bunkmate. Here is hoping the winds pick up soon and the drama sets sail for the small screen.
