Chicago Med season 8 ended with a few questions about the hospital’s future. When will we get to watch Chicago Med season 9 on NBC?
In some good news, we know that Chicago Med season 9 is happening. There were hopes that we would get another multi-season renewal, but that didn’t happen. It doesn’t mean that NBC isn’t happy with the series. It was at a time when the negotiations with writers were still underway, and nobody really knew what to expect.
The renewal was great news considering the cliffhanger we were left with. As Will Halstead left, we found out that his decision to sabotage the AI system had some serious consequences for the hospital. It’s going to be sold. Again!
Now we need to see what’s to come next. However, the wait is on. It’s the summer, and we know that new episodes of the top performing shows don’t air this time of year. People are on vacation or enjoying the good weather. We have to wait until at least the fall for Chicago Med season 9.
When will Chicago Med season 9 come to NBC?
Usually, we would be pretty confident in the show returning sometime toward the end of September. The only time this hasn’t been the case was during the pandemic, when everything was pushed back a little.
We’re going to see a delay this year, though, just like with Chicago Fire. Chicago Med season 9 is still part of NBC’s fall schedule plans, but we’re not going to see it in September. Filming hasn’t started yet because there are no scripts. The WGA strike is still going on, and until the writers go back to work, there isn’t going to be anything for the actors to film. And there is still a chance that actors strike is going to happen.
