Death in Paradise star Ralf Little plays detective Detective Inspector Neville Parker in the hit BBC series and has hinted he would "welcome" Danny John-Jules back with open arms.Ralf Little recently took to his Instagram Live to tell Death in Paradise fans his co-star Danny John-Jules was "always welcome" ahead of the new series.
He explained: "He came back for the last Christmas special and he was a legend," Ralf exclaimed."I used to watch Red Dwarf as a kid, so he's a real hero of mine. He's always welcome as far as I’m concerned, love him."
Danny left the BBC drama in series seven when his character Dwayne Myers left for travels with his long-lost dad, Nelson.
However, the star returned in 2021 for a special cameo during the series's first-ever feature-length Christmas episode.During Ralf's live stream, he also touched on how shooting for season 13 had already begun, adding: "What news can I tell you? We are halfway through episode one, we've got the Christmas special in the bag. I think episode one is very good, told you that the Christmas special is done and dusted.
"I think it is going to be a very good one, so yeah it is all going very, very, very well. I think it's going to be really great.
"Obviously, I can't give any spoilers, but the creative team has really pushed the boat out."
Ahead of series 13 being released, Lindsay Salt, director of BBC drama said: "With its sparkling blend of mystery, humour and heart, Death in Paradise continues to delight the millions of us who make the return trip to Saint Marie with every sun-drenched episode.
