Doctor Who’s John Barrowman 'kicked out' of restaurant and told 'you can’t eat here'

Doctor Who star John Barrowman has taken to social media to detail the strange moment he was supposedly escorted out of a restaurant, just moments after entering with no explanation.

John Barrowman has claimed he was kicked out of a restaurant in Washington yesterday evening, speaking in a video uploaded to social media. The Doctor Who star, 56, entered the McMenamins Elks Temple in Tacoma when he and his friend were soon supposedly led out without explanation. He shared with his 480,000 followers a clip of him talking to the camera about his short-lived experience in the restaurant.

The Torchwood actor tweeted the video: “Not a very good impression @mcmenaminsbeer. We were basically escorted out and told politely you can’t eat here. #Tacoma Jb.” In the 43-second video, he shared that he had “the weirdest thing happen to us”. He continued: “We’re at McMenamins Elks temple... and basically in a polite way, the gentleman guided us out of one restaurant and took us into another and kind of persuaded us not to come in.”

John then moved the camera to show his friend who claimed that they “kicked us out”. The actor ended the video: “So Tacoma... not a good recommendation. McMenamins...McNot.” Fans of the actor found the ordeal strange and commented: “I’m so sorry that this has happened to you John as you’re a legend on the off camera."(sic)
